Installing Birdhouses on Your Forestland to Increase Wildlife Diversity and Aesthetics
When talking with most forest landowners about aesthetics, they are quick to indicate that the aesthetics of a tract is in the eye of the beholder. While walking a tract of land last week in south Georgia, the landowner and I heard a lot of squawking coming from a rather old birdhouse attached to an aging fence post. The house was weathered a light shade of gray and was surrounded by sweet-smelling honeysuckle blooms curled around it.
