The Georgia Forestry Commission is proud to partner with a variety of other agencies and organizations in our mission to provide leadership, service and education in the protection and conservation of Georgia’s forest resources.

Here are a few of the groups that help make Stewardship possible:

USDA Forest Service
Working for the Great Outdoors! The Forest Service mission is captured by the phrase "Caring for the Land and Serving People." Our mission, as set forth by law, is to achieve quality land management under the sustainable multiple-use management concept to meet the diverse needs of people.
Georgia Department of Natural Resources
The mission of the Department of Natural Resources is to sustain, enhance, protect and conserve Georgia's natural, historic and cultural resources for present and future generations, while recognizing the importance of promoting the development of commerce and industry that utilize sound environmental practices.
USDA Natural Resource Conservation Service
The mission of the Natural Resource Conservation Service (NRCS) is to provide national leadership in the conservation of soil, water, and related natural resources. The NRCS provides balanced technical assistance and cooperative conservation programs to landowners and land managers throughout the United States as part of the U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA).
National Wild Turkey Federation
The mission of the National Wild Turkey Federation is conservation of the wild turkey and preservation of our hunting heritage.
Quality Deer Management Association
The QDMA's mission is to promote sustainable, high quality white-tailed deer populations, wildlife habitats, and ethical hunting experiences through education, research, and management in partnership with hunters, landowners, natural resource professionals, and the public.
Georgia Forestry Association
Through its efforts, GFA has emerged as an influential force in the forestry community with a driving mission to promote the wise use of Georgia's forest resources. GFA works to fulfill that mission by providing information, education, forums and other support to promote the responsible use of our forests for the benefit of all Georgians.
Georgia Land Conservation Program
The GLCP’s goals are the improvement of water quality, conservation of fragile, threatened and natural habitats and conservation of forest and agricultural lands.
Warnell School of Forestry & Natural Resources, University of Georgia
The mission of WSFNR is to prepare leaders in the conservation and sustainable management of forests and other natural resources; to discover ways to restore and better use the earth’s natural resources; and to put into practice forestry and natural resources knowledge.
